Decorative image New

What is described by its developers as the world’s largest solar heating system has been installed in Denmark. The solar thermal system is made up of 12,500 collectors and covers an area of 157,000 m2. It will provide heat for 90,000 consumers in Silkeborg.

According to project developers Arcon-Sunmark, 2.7mn litres of water will pass through the 110 MW system every hour. It will cover around a fifth of Silkeborg’s annual heating consumption needs.
