China, the US, Germany and India are leading the way in installed wind power – Chinese installations totalled 23 GW in 2016. China also surpassed Denmark to achieve third place in the global offshore wind rankings in 2016, after the UK and Germany.

India set a new national record with 3.6 GW of new installations – making it the year’s fourth largest market.
