OGA awards UKCS contracts

The Oil and Gas Authority has awarded four contracts totalling over £6mn over three years for surface and subsurface studies to maximise value by integrating exploration, development, production, late-life planning and decommissioning in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS).

Lloyd’s Register has been awarded two of the four contracts to provide regional exploration maps, regional and field support engineering services to the OGA. BGS will provide geoscience project services that aid the identification, definition and quantification of leads and prospects and provide input data for the calculation of undiscovered resource volumes. Schlumberger will provide the OGA with subsurface studies and reservoir evaluationservices.
