New wind farms for Thailand
A 60 MW and a 75 MW wind farm are due to be completed in Thailand this month.
Lifting company ALE carried out to the transportation, crane lifting and installation of 24 turbines on a project site in Khao Khao, Thailand, and 30 turbines at Watabak – all rated at 2.5 MW.
The project involved receiving components in several shipments over a three-month period – then transporting them 620 km to the site locations. The turbines are then erected. For the project ALE employed 70 new members of staff and ordered new cranes, trucks, blade trailers, specialist tower transporters and extendable trailers.
