New diesel power plant covers 15% of Senegal’s electricity consumption

MAN Diesel & Turbo has finished the construction of a diesel combined cycle power plant in Tobène, in the region of Thiès, Africa, 90 km north of Dakar. 

The 96 MW power plant will supply power to the national grid operated by Senegal’s national electricity company, SENELEC, and is expected to generate around 15% of the country’s electricity consumption.
