CHP for three French greenhouses

Power equipment and engines provider GE is to provide three Jenbacher J624 gas engines to engineering company Eiffage to provide heat and power to three new greenhouses in France.

One 4.5 MW Jenbacher J624 gas engine will be installed at each of the Serres Richardière, Coge Camargues and JD Prod greenhouses, and will be used for combined heat and power during the winter season.

The engines are expected to be installed by October, with commercial operation planned for November this year.
