South East Asia’s largest PV farm
The largest solar farm in South East Asia has been built on Negros Island in the Philippines. The 132 MW plant, built by Bouygues Construction, began construction in May 2015, with more than 425,000 panels installed on a surface of 170 ha.
The plant, which has been connected to the national grid, will generate around 190 GWh of electricity per year – equivalent to the average consumption of almost 170,000 households in the Philippines.
