Rosneft sells stake in Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha to BP

Rosneft has sold a 20% share of Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha to BP. The joint venture will continue further development of the Srednebotuobinskoye oil and gas condensate field which is one of the largest fields in the eastern Siberia. Reserves (proved, probable and possible) are put at 167mn tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons and 180.5bn cm of gas. The joint venture will also undertake the development of suitable infrastructure for further exploration and development of the region’s reserves. Rosneft also plans to select a second partner in Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha.
