Groningen gas production to be cut

A Dutch court has ordered cuts in gas production at Groningen, Europe’s largest gas field, because of concerns about earth tremors cause by extraction. Output is to be capped at 27bn cm per year, down from 33bn cm. The order applies to production through to October 2016.
