Adani Green Energy of India (AGEL) reports that its Khavda, Gujarat, renewable energy site has increased to 10.75GW in solar, wind and ‘hybrid’ capacity (including 750MW from other Adani group companies). The company says it is on track to achieve 30GW of renewable energy capacity on the site by 2029.
The Khavda site capacity is up from 7.1GW a year ago. In that time, it added 2,568MW of solar, 666MW of wind, 3,081MWh of battery storage and 321MW of ‘solar-wind hybrid’ capacity.
The site, which is spread over 538km2, almost five times the city of Paris, includes 6.63GW of battery energy system storage (BESS), which AGEL says is the world’s largest single-location BESS deployment.
A company quarterly financial report said: ‘With robust manpower development, localised supply chain and advanced technologies like robotic solar module installation, AGEL is on track to achieve 30GW renewable energy capacity in Khavda by 2029, setting a global benchmark for the speed of execution at such a large scale.’
The single site represents half of AGEL’s total operational assets, which have grown by 24% year-on-year.
It reported electricity sales in the three months to October 2026 were INR40.19mn ($423,700).
