Natural power for South African gold mine

A 2 MW temporary power installation that runs on naturally occurring methane gas from mining operations that would have otherwise been flared has been provided to a gold mine in South Africa. The Aggreko generators are being rented by Sibanye Gold at its Beatrix gold mine. The gas is accumulated before it is burned for power.
