J Baldwin, Biomethane industry develops, Petroleum Review, August 2014, p 36

The first commercial scale biomethane plant in UK was initiated at Poundbury at the end of 2012, the gas being injected into the distribution network.   However, in addition to its applications for heating and cooking, it is also to be used for powering trucks, buses and dual-fuel tractors.   This 'green' gas is electronically labelled stating when, where and how it was generated.
