MOL Group plans new TVK butadiene recovery plant

MOL Group is expanding its petrochemicals portfolio with the construction of a new TVK butadiene recovery plant at Tiszaújváros in Hungary. The new plant will have a 130,000 t/y capacity and pilot operations will commence at the start of 2015, with the commissioning date planned for 2Q2015. Butadiene is the main feedstock in synthetic rubber production. The project is expected to cost in the region of €120mn.
