Steel monopiles or jacket foundations? Whichever, collaborative working is the key

A move to deeper water means a move away from the current monopile designs for foundations of offshore wind turbines. Whatever design is chosen to ground turbines further out to sea, collaborative working throughout the supply chain will be key to reducing costs of offshore wind in the future, writes Ian Davis of Tata Steel.
