EU focus on fracking

'Robust rules' are being proposed to govern hydraulic fracturing activities in European Union countries. Carmen Paun, in Brussels, provides an overview and looks at what lessons cab be learnt from the US experience with a view to using environmentally-friendly industrial processes and best available technologies.
