L Hibbert, Breeding hybrids, Professional Engineering, 16 October 2002, p 47
Pi Technology is successfully developing control systems for hybrid, fuel cell and other transitional fuel vehicles. These systems include engine starting and stopping during a typical drive cycle in order to improve fuel economy and emission control. The development also covers telematics, a typical application being transfer to the pure electric mode when entering a city centre emissions zone, and advising the driver accordingly.
