Energy metering: Smart intervention needed from the Government. Gill Owen & Judith Ward. Energy World October 2007, P. 16

The Energy White Paper set out the Government's expectation that 'within the next 10 years, all domestic energy customers will have smart meters with visual displays of real-time information that allow communication between the meter, the energy supplier and the customer'. However, Government intervention will be required if this vision is to be met, according to Gill Owen and Judith Ward from Sustainability First.
