Shipping, Hydrocarbon management. Marine crude oil transport - 2007 analysis shows voyage losses holding steady. Paul Harrison. Petroleum Review, September 2008, p44-46.

This article presents findings from analysis of the 2007 data, updating the 2006 analysis which was reported in Petroleum Review in October 2007. The Energy Institute's HMC-4A Marine Oil Transportation Database Committee was originally formed in 1986 and has been collecting and analysing worldwide oil shipping data for over 20 years. Some 16 of the 19 oil company members were represented to review and discuss the analysis of the 2007 data. Includes tables showing analysis by crude oil type and effect of table corrections on net standard volume loss figures.
