Abandonment activity in the North Sea is set to rise to unprecedented levels in the next three to four years as a raft of new projects in the UK sector hits the market. Large-scale decommissioning operations are also looming in the Norwegian sectors as ConocoPhilips and Total respectively review bids for the Frigg and Ekofisk I platform removals.
