It is a non administrative public entity belonging under the authority of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Small and Medium Enterprises. The mission of ANME consists in implementing Tunisian State policy in the field of energy conservation, based on studies, the promotion of energy efficiency, renewable energies and energy substitution.
