Flow assurance in multiphase environments. Anon. JPT, March 1998, 50(3), 81--83. (Synopsis SPE paper 37237).

Consideration is given to the way in which the factor of `flow assurance' or operability is affecting design. The ability of the produced fluids to present a multitude of problems, from minor upsets to major shutdowns or even early abandonment, is being addressed at the design stage. Produced-fluid issues, hydrates, waxes and paraffin, and design integration are examined.
