Stable algorithm for Reynolds stress turbulence modelling with applications to rectilinear and circular tidal flows. S.G. Sajjadi and M.N. Waywell. Internat. J. Numer. Methods Fluids, 15 February 1998, 26(3), 251--280.

Both rectilinear and circular tidal flows have been examined in this study. The numerical integrations were based on a fully collocated finite volume arrangement which was stabilized through apparent viscosities and source term linearization. In the circular tidal flow calculations a numerical procedure is described ensuring that the substantial derivative in the second-moment equations was materially invariant. 32 refs.
