Production of longitudinally welded large diameter linepipe for deep water applications. M. Graf, H.-G. Hillenbrand and U. Zeislmair. Paper. Proc. Conf., Pipeline technology, Vol. 1, pages 389--401. (See abstract 406 for complete reference).

Details are reported of the production of linepipe up to about 41mm wall thickness. Consideration is given to all the steps, from steel making to pipe making, involved in the manufacture of high collapse strength linepipe, as well as the properties of the pipe. Pipe geometry is shown to have a substantial effect on collapse strength and the limits are identified of current linepipe production technology.
