Catalysts of hydrocarbon pyrolysis by in situ formed iron clusters. M. Braun, Kramer and K.J. Huttinger. Erdol Erdgas Kohle, October 1996, 112(10), 423--425.

Consideration is given to the catalytic activity of iron clusters in the pyrolysis of anthracene, which was used as a sulphur-free model hydrocarbon. Studies were undertaken with dicyclopentadienyl iron (ferrocene) and iron benzoate to show the influence of the iron percursor. These complexes show very different decomposition temperatures, which affect catalytic activity. 28 refs.
