100-mV polarization criterion---practical application for buried pipelines. B.M. Dearing. Mater. Perform., September 1994, 33(9), 23--27.

The application is discussed for polarization changes as criteria for cathodic protection. Guidelines for developing field tests are reviewed. Test procedures are described and the results indicate an economic advantage to be gained with the 100-mV polarization criterion for cathodically protecting bare and poorly coated pipelines. Numerous data are tabulated and illustrated graphically. 8 refs.
