Olefins can limit desulphurization of reformer stock. S.A. Ali and J.A. Anabtawi. OGJ, 3 July 1995, 93(27), 48--54.

Research on refinery feedstocks is reported which has shown that recombination reactions of olefins and H2S can reduce the effectiveness of hydrodesulphurization. Details are given of catalyst activity, temperature effect, space velocity, feedstock effect, and catalyst performance. Various recommendations are presented and numerous tabulated data and graphical illustrations are included. 9 refs.
