Permeability profiles provide new reservoir management tools. D. Georgi et al. OGJ, 29 September 1997, 95(39), 74--85 (8 pages).

Consideration is given to the way in which new tools and interpretation techniques provide continuous well permeability profiles without coring or extensive well testing. These profiles obtained from wireline logs are ideally suited for reservoir description and management. Estimation of reserves, average production rate, recovery efficiency, horizontal permeability, vertical communication, permeability sources, core permeability, wirelines profiles, and application of profiles are discussed in some detail. 15 refs.
