Market changes have not had significant impact on fuel supply, report finds

A Deloitte study, commissioned by the Department of Energy and Climate Change, has found that significant changes to the retail market for road fuels, including declining forecourt numbers and the increasing dominance of supermarket forecourts, have not had an impact on the availability of petrol and diesel for motorists. The DECC press release is available at http://www.decc.gov.uk/en/content/cms/news/pn12_169/pn12_169.aspx and the report can be downloaded at http://www.decc.gov.uk/assets/decc/11/meeting-energy-demand/energy-security/7322-study-of-the-uk-petroleum-retail-market.pdf.
