Nissan has unveiled plans to launch a 100% electric van in Barcelona, Spain, in 2013. The new e-NV200 will be the second all-electric vehicle (EV) allocated for production at the Barcelona plant, representing a major project investment of €100mn. The first EV to be produced at the plant was Nissan’s LEAF, which was launched in 2010 as part of the company’s commitment to zero emission mobility. The light commercial vehicle will deliver a driving range similar to the Nissan LEAF on a single charge and similar performance, together with best in class running and maintenance costs, states Nissan.
