Total has reserved regasification capacity in the planned Dunkirk LNG terminal, currently being developed by EdF subsidiary, Dunkerque LNG. Total will also acquire an interest in the company. With regasification capacity of between 10bn and 13bn cm/y, it is hoped the terminal will be able to meet more than 20% of French natural gas demand. Dunkerque LNG will make the final investment decision this summer, with a view to commissioning in 2014.
