Three air conditioning units powered by solar concentrating technology have been installed at Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico and the Demokritos research centre in Greece, with commissioning and full commercial operation expected shortly. The EnergyMixx projects involve integrating the company’s range of solar concentrators with air conditioning systems to supply high temperature fluid to operate absorption chillers, which then provide cooling without the need for an electricity supply.
