Andy Watson, Energy Manager at BAA Heathrow, has been awarded the annual Energy Manager of the Year award, presented by the Energy Institute at the Gala Dinner of this year’s annual Energy Management Conference and Exhibition (Nemex). The award recognises those who have made a significant contribution towards managing energy. Since being appointed Energy Manager four years ago, Watson has put in place various measures to reduce energy consumption and, more recently, he has developed a behavioural change strategy to influence individual behaviour. Responsible for a budget in excess of £1mn, his role incorporates energy conservation, monitoring and targeting, and energy awareness.
