Fluor has been selected by Sasol to perform project management, engineering, procurement and construction services for the off-sites and utilities portion of refinery upgrades at Sasol’s Secunda facility in South Africa. The $176mn contract is the latest in a series of awards made by Sasol to Fluor related to Sasol’s major clean fuels initiative, Project Turbo. The project aims to meet stricter South African clean fuels standards that are due to take effect in January 2006.
