Opec is unlikely to increase output levels when it meets in Osaka, Japan, on 19 September, according to media reports. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez was quoted as saying that the majority of Opec member countries were against a production hike, but some had requested an increase for ‘internal reasons’.
