Aberdeen-based electronics company SML Technologies has secured a $850,000 contract from Conoco Indonesia. The deal, which includes multiple marine radar tracking systems, will be used in the West Natuna transportation project and will provide pipeline protection in what is reported to be one of the busiest areas of the world for seagoing traffic. This is the first major award for SML’s Singapore operation - Interpacific Technologies - and will result in an expansion of its operation both in the Far East and Aberdeen.
