The Russian Government has approved a construction plan for the Baltic Pipeline ...
The Russian Government has approved a construction plan for the Baltic Pipeline System which grants Transneft full ownership rights over the new pipeline, reports the United Financial Group's Russia Morning Comment. Earlier, private oil companies were lobbying to obtain minority stakes in the project, based on their contributions to it. According to UFG, these companies will still have to finance the project under the new plan, since Transneft will raise crude export tariffs to compensate for its construction costs.
