Qatar in $25bn LNG expansion
Qatar plans to invest $25bn on expanding liquefied natural gas capacity in pursuit of its ambition to become the world’s largest exporter, quadrupling export capacity to 63.56m tonnes a year by 2010. Confirmation of Qatar’s audacious plan comes after news that it is involved in three giant projects with ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil.
