ExxonMobil in talks with Qatar over giant LNG deal
ExxonMobil is discussing a huge liquefied natural gas project with Qatar which could result in a fleet of giant newbuildings to ship LNG to the US. The 15m tonnes a year project would be twice the size of the Qatar-ConocoPhillips LNG venture unveiled earlier this week which will require 10-12 LNG carriers of 200,000 cu m-220,000 cu m.
