Worry over Shell input to exploration
City analysts say Shell is not spending enough on exploration.after reporting that weaker oil prices had eroded annual profits by 9 per cent to $11.98 billion (£8.5 billion). Job cuts relating to a freshly approved petrol station deal with Texaco could be of as many as 1,800 jobs, or 15 per cent of the venture’s total workforce.
