Novus abandons Qatari well
Novus Petroleum, a US independent, has plugged and abandoned the PQ-5 exploration well on the Najwat Najem North prospect in Qatar. The well was drilled to test a separate structure, north of the existing Najwat Najem discovery, where development work is now set to continue. Although oil was found during the testing of the PQ-5, it was not in commercial quantities.
