PGS signs promotion agreement for São Tomé and Príncipe licensing round
Petroleum Geo-Services will help the government of São Tomé and Príncipe in the deepwater Gulf of Guinea, West Africa, to promote its offshore exploration acreage to the international oil industry. PGS will acquire and market 3D seismic data ahead of future São Tomé licensing rounds and help with the marketing of exploration opportunities on the São Tomé shelf. The northern part of the shelf lies adjacent to a number of world class oil discoveries in deepwater Nigeria - the most recent discoveries are located in block 246.
