Chevron's Fort Liard well flows better than expected

Chevron Corp has admitted to an error in the calculated test flow on its K-29 well at Fort Liard in the Northwest Territories. The well flowed at 80m cu ft per day instead of previously published figures of 60m cf/d. The mistake is due to an incorrect calculation of the gas-water ratio. Purcell Energy, with a 24% interest in the well, halted its share trading two weeks ago to report the news of production problems after a sharp fall in its share trading.
