North Sea lure for insurers

The North Sea oil industry is teaming up with insurers to solve problems posed by the decommissioning of aging oil platforms. Towards the end of last year, Phillips Petroleum insured the removal of its Maureen platform - the first big programme of its sort. Maureen was designed to be re-floated and re-used in another location, and will be removed next year.
