Petrobras to sell shallow water assets

Petrobras reports that it is planning to sell its entire stake in the shallow-water Atum, Curimã, Espada and Xaréu fields located in Brazil’s Mundaú sub-basin as part of a drive to optimise company operations and concentrate on its deep and ultra-deep water portfolios.

Operating since the 1980s, the four fields are located 30 km offshore the state of Ceará, (north-east region) in water depths between 30 and 50 metres. Average production in 2019 was 4,200 b/d of oil and 76,900 cm/d of gas, through nine fixed platforms.
