UK to bring forward petrol and diesel bans, Petroleum Review, March 2020, p 5

In UK, the government is planning to bring forward the ban on new petrol and diesel cars from 2040 to 2035, and has initiated a consultation re the inclusion of hybrid vehicles. The fall in battery prices is leading to price parity with conventional cars within 5 years. However, the IK PIA recommends a low-carbon liquid fuel strategy.
