First liquid from Freeport LNG Train 1
McDermott International, along with its partners Chiyoda International and Zachry Group, reported on 19 August 2019 that Train 1 of the Freeport LNG project on Quintana Island in Freeport, Texas, US, has begun producing LNG as a precursor to loading the first cargo, which is expected later in the month.
Freeport LNG Trains 2 and 3 remain on track to meet their previously announced schedules, with Train 2 initial production of LNG scheduled for 4Q2019 and Train 3’s scheduled for 1Q2020.
