M Gubisch, Rolls-Royce tests hybrid power system, Flight International, 26 March-1 April 2019, p 20

In US, Rolls-Royce has ground-tested the M250 hybrid built around a M250 turboshaft engine type with battery cells, electric generators and an advanced power management system. In series-hybrid mode, this is powered by the turboshaft and electric system, the battery powering the other equipment.
In parallel hybrid mode, both the engine and electrical system provide thrust, whereas in turboshaft mode, the battery is redundant.
