Train 1 at Cameron LNG reaches final commissioning stage
McDermott International and its joint venture partner Chiyoda International Corporation, a US-based wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan’s Chiyoda Corporation, report that Train 1 of the Cameron LNG project in the US has reached the final commissioning stage following the introduction of pipeline feed gas into Train 1 of the liquefaction export facility, the precursor for the production of LNG.
Once Train 1 is fully operational, it will have the capacity to produce 4mn t/y of LNG.
The Cameron LNG project includes three liquefaction trains with a projected export of 12mn t/y of LNG (approximately 1.7bn cf/d). The development is jointly owned by affiliates of Sempra LNG, Total, Mitsui & Co and Japan LNG Investment (a company jointly owned by Mitsubishi and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha).
