Petrobras starts production of P-67 platform in Santos Basin’s Lula field

Petrobras has commenced production of oil and natural gas through the P-67 floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel in the Lula Norte area, in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin. With the capacity to process up to 150,000 b/d of oil and compress up to 6mn cm/d of natural gas, this is the ninth unit to come onstream in the BM-S-11 block.

The Lula field (comprising the Lula and Cernambi reservoirs) is currently the largest producer in Brazil and is expected to reach 1mn b/d of oil production in 2019; less than a decade since the beginning of commercial production in October 2010.

Lula is located in concession BM-S-11, operated by Petrobras (65%) in partnership with Shell (25%) and Petrogal Brasil (10%).
