In US, Boeing is developing lighter and cheaper cryotanks to handle liquid reactants for its Phantom Express reusable launch vehicle. The LOX tank has been developed initially, and has emerged successfully from a test programme. The LH2 tank will be developed subsequently. The wall construction uses advanced fibre placement techniques developed from the Boeing 787 programme.
